Pizza delivery drivers shouldn’t have to give up their right to self defense to have a job. Pizza Hut should be ashamed of this.

If, as a condition of employment, Pizza Hut requires someone to be defenseless when delivering pizzas, then Pizza Hut has to assume the total responsibility when (not if) one of their employees is killed or injured while making a delivery. I would be willing to bet that Pizza Hut leaves that to whatever insurance they provide for the employee and will walk away once the insurance has paid all that it will pay. Once the bad guys know that Pizza Hut guarantees that their delivery guys are defenseless, that makes them an easy target.
This is too bad. I liked Pizza Hut pizzas and would generally order one once a week. Now my pizzas will have to come from another company until that employee is reinstated and compensated for his lost income.
