I don’t know about you, but I need a pick-me-up. There’s not much (and likely never will be) really good news in this presidential campaign but this and this are at least steps in the right direction.

Tell me about it, Drew

Obama’s arrogance

isn’t playing well with the German Chancellor.

“It is unusual to hold election rallies abroad. No German candidate for high office would even think of using the National Mall (in Washington) or Red Square in Moscow for a rally because it would not be seen as appropriate.”

Is that what he means by a “new kind of politics”?

Did I just wake up in an Orwell novel?

It’s going to be very difficult for me to avoid profanity in this post. This just makes me spitting mad. You’ve been warned.

Just when I thought nothing could be as stupid and evil as the nitwit, unionized, jackbooted thugs at the TSA along comes a little Himmler at DHS to prove me wrong. Not satisfied with the expensive, useless kabuki theatre laughingly called “airport security”, here’s a plan to treat every single passenger as a criminal.

See if you can watch this video without throwing a wrench through your screen.

This is just so mind-numbingly stupid I can’t believe it. It would kill air travel. Would you allow some goon to attach one of these to your arm? To your kid’s arm?

Pardon my French, but what a bunch of fucktards. Revolutions have been fought over less. It’s time to disband the DHS and the TSA and start over.

Like with profiling and armed pilots.

Update:

Michelle Malkin has a sort-of denial from the DHS. Note, especially, that last line in the post. So maybe more of my fire-spitting vitriol should be directed at the company which makes the bracelet and produced that video than at DHS, but I still say it, and that gargantuan waste of money called the TSA, should be disbanded.
