When asked once why he created The Prisoner he gave the best-ever interview response (best imagined in his inimitable voice):
“To cause unrest.”

Speaking of getting off the island, Mr. Roarke has taken “de plane“.
My first exposure to Mr. McGoohan was as Dr. Syn, the Scarecrow, from the Disney production. Through the wonder of DVD, I now have the Scarecrow, Secret Agent and The Prisoner to enjoy.
God bless him. I only hope that we can continue to say, “I am a free man.”
